Just before returning for another reserve call-up, we took part in a special event for a group of Armored Corps reservists. The event, held at the “Edna” venue in Jaffa, was designed to offer them a brief pause, a moment to breathe, and an opportunity to reconnect — just before re-entering the demanding routine of reserve duty.
The evening opened with a casual gathering over pizza and beer. Thanks to the generous contribution of Bruria Naim Arman, a board member of the organization and owner of CR Community Relations, we were able to create a warm, relaxed, and welcoming atmosphere for the soldiers. Alongside her, Ronit, her office manager, also contributed greatly with heartfelt dedication to the success of the event.
Later in the evening, an intimate and closed session was held for the group — beginning with an internal talk in which one of the participants took the stage and shared his story. It was a meaningful moment of connection, listening, and mutual insight.
The final part of the gathering was dedicated to personal well-being and deep breathing: a mindfulness workshop led by Lihi Bianca, a new volunteer in the organization, and a yoga and mindfulness instructor. The workshop allowed the soldiers to pause, reconnect with themselves, and move forward feeling strengthened and more focused.
