In the midst of demanding months between reserve rotations, dozens of paratrooper reservists were given a brief pause: two and a half days of calm, care, and support at a beautiful villa in Caesarea.
Behind the initiative was Niv, a close affiliate of the battalion (whose details cannot be disclosed), who dedicated herself fully — organizing everything voluntarily and creating a true wellness experience: a spacious villa donated for the event, bodywork therapists and practitioners from various fields, and an abundance of food generously provided by the “Mesiv HaRuach” association.
HELPTSD funded, as part of the villa activities, a dedicated treatment room provided by Ilan Sharfi, NLP Trainer & TLT Master, a veteran of the Lebanon War as a team commander in the Artillery Corps and a member of the organization’s team. Ilan arrived on the second day, was given a quiet room to work in, and met with the soldiers for open one-on-one conversations about challenges, workload, thoughts, and what they are experiencing between reserve deployments.
Many of the soldiers opened up and shared that they had not had a moment to pause and talk since the beginning of this period, and meeting Ilan for a personal conversation was a meaningful moment that reached exactly where it was needed.
Later, Eitan Feldman, the organization’s Operations Manager, joined and presented the organization’s full range of activities: for them, for their families, and for anyone returning from military service who needs a safe space to process, share, and receive support.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Niv for the initiative, generosity, and trust; to all the partners who took part in this event; and of course to the soldiers themselves, for the privilege of being there for you.
HELPTSD invites any group, unit, organizer, or private initiative to reach out to us.
We would be glad to join existing events like this one, or to build a tailored program together that provides a safe, supportive, and meaningful space for soldiers and service members facing intense demands.
