Plugat Beit – Grooper – HELPTSD

Ahead of Passover, we found a creative and meaningful way to avoid waste — and more importantly, to redirect it to those who truly need it. We donated surplus beverages from recent events so they wouldn’t go unused or become chametz, and delivered them to the residential complex of the Plugat Beit Association.

These refreshing bottles were generously provided (not for the first time) by the amazing beverage company Grooper, which produces sparkling drinks from natural ingredients. This time, they treated us to bottles of “Petlala” (sparkling natural raspberry).

At this complex in southern Israel, lone soldiers — both men and women — are supported not only during their service, but also for up to two years after discharge. It is a rare, warm, and supportive environment that provides real stability during a critical and sensitive period, when young people — often without a strong family support system — are trying to rebuild their civilian lives.

At this stage — when support fades, responsibilities grow, and civilian life can feel overwhelming — this place continues to serve as a true home. This is a population that does not always receive enough attention, and the Plugat Beit Association is doing remarkable work to change that. That’s why it was clear to us that we wanted to begin something together.

The beverage donation is only the beginning. These days, we are exploring long-term collaborations with the organization’s dedicated team — including events, connections, meetings, and lectures tailored for their community.
Stay tuned — we’ll be sharing more about the next steps soon.
