A Powerful Day for Artillery Corps Reserve Commanders

שמרו נפשם ביום העצמה למפקדי חיל התותחנים במילואים

The routine of everyday life under the shadow of war, combined with repeated reserve call-ups, can place significant strain on relationships, family life, parenting, careers, and overall well-being — often becoming exhausting, demanding, and disorienting.

This is the reality faced by many reservists, including the heroes who joined us this time — team commanders from the Artillery Corps reserves, just before being called up for the third time to serve and defend.

So what did we have?

We gathered at a private home generously made available to us by a donor who wished to remain anonymous. The day began with coffee and desserts, alongside an introduction to the organization’s team-based processing programs, presented by Dekel Tzur, CEO of HELPTSD.

Immediately afterward, we held a two-hour workshop focused on practical tools for coping with the complexities of daily life. The session was led by Ilan Sharfi, an experienced NLP therapist, former Artillery Corps commander, and veteran of the Lebanon War.

At the conclusion of the workshop, we shared a light dairy meal and took the opportunity to host and treat the group.

the physical aspect

The real highlight wasn’t the (amazing) cakes or the sandwiches, but what awaited behind them in the backyard — a magical hydrotherapy pool, perfectly timed to help the participants relax, recover, and release some of the physical tension during their brief break before the next call-up.

We would like to extend our thanks to Einat Shoham, an outstanding hydrotherapy instructor, who joined us at this stage of the evening and gave so generously of her time and energy, always with a warm smile.

At the end of the evening, we left the group with additional time to enjoy the water, wishing them a safe return and reminding them that we are always here for anything they may need — for them, their teams, and any soldier in need of individual support.

We would also like to thank Chen Hazot Rosenberg, a volunteer in the organization, for making this meaningful connection possible; Sapir Biton, who connected us with the generous host; and Neria Tzabari from our marketing team for coming to support. Special thanks as well to Eitan Feldman (Operations Manager) and Dekel Tzur (CEO) for organizing the evening, to Ilan Sharfi for leading an engaging workshop, and to the organization’s Chair, Lior Levi, without whom none of this would have been possible.
