Maayan and Lian, 12th-grade students in the Social Entrepreneurship track at Ironi T High School in Tel Aviv, chose to dedicate their final project to social entrepreneurship \u2014 focusing on HELPTSD.<\/p>\n

As part of the project, they interviewed Eitan Feldman, the organization\u2019s Operations Manager<\/strong>, for a mini podcast addressing the organization\u2019s activities, ways to support soldiers coping with emotional challenges, and how people in their close circles \u2014 friends, family, teachers, and youth \u2014 can become a supportive rather than harmful presence. Alongside the podcast, they created an educational presentation that accompanies the content and translates it into clear, accessible, and non-judgmental dialogue.<\/p>\n

The project did not remain within the classroom. The school operates a community service model, as part of which<\/strong> students deliver classroom lectures to grades 10\u201312. As part of this commitment, the lecture developed by Maayan and Lian (based on the presentation and podcast), focusing on open dialogue around social responsibility, communication culture, and how to approach someone in distress, will be delivered in every class and will count as community service hours for all students presenting it. The materials are also shared with parents and the school community, and are expected to expand to youth movements and additional high schools across Tel Aviv.<\/p>\n

The goal of the initiative is clear: to strengthen support circles. To encourage donations, promote referrals of soldiers for assistance, teach how to communicate without labeling or applying pressure, and open the door for inviting the organization\u2019s lectures and activities into educational and community frameworks.<\/p>\n

This is where change begins \u2014 not only in providing support to the soldiers themselves, but in creating an environment that is understanding, sensitive, and knows how to be there when it truly matters.<\/p>\n

Since the beginning of the Iron Swords War, the organization has been actively engaged in advocacy and promoting constructive public discourse. This marks another meaningful milestone, made possible thanks to the students in particular, and Ironi T High School as a whole.<\/p>\n

We thank Maayan and Lian for their brave, thoughtful, and responsible choice, and invite schools, youth movements, and additional educational bodies to join similar initiatives and take part in building a healthy and supportive dialogue around soldiers in Israel.<\/p>\n
